Bought my e90 335d m sport from Sytner Nottingham in December.
08 Sparkling Graphite, fully spec'd, 20,000 miles on the clock. it took me a while to find the right car with the right spec ! Immediately put matt black grills on it, which I think far better than the chrome. Had a few issues with it after a week, so took it back to Sytner. turns out they needed to replace the particle filter, all under warranty, so was without the car for 10 days. Having read on here about re-mapping I took the decision to get Simon from e-maps over to mine yesterday to do their remap. All I can say is wow! What I already thought was an incredible car got even better !!!! The power is just even more effortless. Friend of mine has a 2007 RS4 and was incredibly surprised how mine gave his a run for its money. Next on the to do list is the rear lights, change for BMW blacklines. Thinking about whether or not to change the stock 18 inch wheels for some 19 " CSL's now. But don't want to go to far with it, as I think it looks very under stated as it is, which in my opinion is a great thing. I assume by changing to 19's to get them to sit properly you need to mess around with the suspension in some way ? Hoping to get some decent pictures of it up when the weather improves and can go for a goood run in it. Anyway just wanted to share my with the 335d so far Tom |

Only if it's a poorly driven RS4, people till underestimate the RS. Get the RS right and you'll loose most cars, however get it wrong, and it'll bog down, and be embarrassing.......not something I found in mine
It's hard to get the 335d wrong, hence why it will challenge most cars, howevers it's very easy to do this, which for me is why they start to feel boring!

Glad you're having fun! You're making me fancy a remap now, but I'm still not aware of who is good for the LCI 330d in the south east (new ecu type?).
My mate has an RS4 and the thing is awesome so if your denzil is pulling like one of those I know why you're loving it!

This is really tempting me to get the remap on my 335d. However gonna wait until about April so that I can actually put the power down onto the Tarmac.
Tommy, have u seen an increase or decrease in mpg? Fancy doing a YouTube clip of the mapped 335d vs RS4 (one of my fave cars of the last 5 years.) |

Even a standard 335d can give an RS4 a fright - from a well know journo when the 335d Touring came out:
In-gear urge is almost peerless; I can't remember another car that accelerates as cleanly and quickly from low revs, and with such long gearing, in recent times. I include the Audi RS4 and the outgoing M3 in that statement; you have to pedal those cars hard to sustain the kind of pace the 335d does at ease. |

First of all Dan - a very good friend of mine: http://www.remapman.com/book-remap/ Secondly there is also Jason from BWchiptune: http://www.bmwautorepairs.co.uk/chiptune/index.htm I'd recommend them both highly and I'm pretty sure they can work with the 57 onwards Bosch ECU's without any issues

Lol I didnt say my 335d was the same pace as an RS4, I just said that my friend who owns one, was surprised how fast my diesel was in comparison to his monster when we had a little play on the A6.
I was looking at RS4's as well as 335d's, running my own business I do quite a few miles and having driven both, and calculating the running costs of both, it was the 335 that did it this time. I used to have a clio and am still a member of a clio site, and they'd have you believe they could have anything in the "twisties". |

Are you being serious with all this shit? Granted, I was having a bit of crack in my thread but reading your (and pretty much any owner of a 335d) posts, one would believe that there is actually nothing on earth that will rival a 335d. Im not being cheeky here by the way. Just curious. J |

A re-mapped 335d can just aBout keep up with a E92 M3, which in turn is quicker on a roll than an RS4. Granted they wnt keep up with M5's RS6's etc!
