My new LED Angel Eyes and black kidneys :)

Okay... here's a picture with a couple new mods.

Getting the plastic grid/lattice, xxxxxxxxxx thing under the license plate (have no idea what it's called) painted black and installed next weekend and then I'm done.

This pic shows my windows after Stealth Auto took off the shitty tint I had done a few weeks ago. I had the tint redone today too. The guy (Bernie) took his time and did a great job. I'll take final pics of all mods next week.

I'm done after that. Thanks everybody for all the advice!

Wow!

Looks so clean and fresh-

The mesh will look great when painted.

What % tint all around?

Which LEDS are these. They are not too visible in daylight apparently.

Thanks! It was Johnson film and because of california law, I did medium on the front driver and front passenger and dark everywhere else. Not sure of the % because they have light, med, dark as options. Post more pics tomorrow of the tint. Appreciate it!

Really? maybe it's the picture. They're diamond white in real life. I got the Stealth Auto brand. I'm happy with them but thanks anyway.

How about carbon fiber Grey overlay BMW emblems for hood/rear and wheels/steering wheel?

Good suggestion but I'm a traditionalist when it comes to the emblems

Looking at their website, they look like the standard 3W butterfly LED's that virtually everyone sells. In direct sunlight I find the outer washes out a fair bit. There is a newer version of them that has come out recently that has a better butterfly apparatus and brighter led's - maybe these guys are using those.

These are the older style http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/E92-E...ht_7817wt_1167

These are the newer style http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/E90-E...Q5fAccessories

Do you remember what yours looked like, because if the newer style butterfly works better to light the outers, I would give it a shot - the older style when I tried them wasn't great in my book and I took them out and put in GP Thunders.

Thanks for the info. I go back this weekend so I'll ask them. Thanks for the links.

I kinda miss the yellow on the outside. Thoughts?

Hey, btw... I have an E70. My car is a 2007 so not sure if the new ones would work right? I'll take more pictures this weekend and post day and night shots. Thanks again!

I've been seeing people experiment with these LED's since 2008 when I first got my E92. 90% of them look great at night. During direct sunlight, only the LUX have really looked decent. Most of these $100 LED's look no better than the GP Thunders. That's why you see so many people buy them, then end up putting them up for sale a few days later. The way the rings are designed from BMW, it is difficult to get even lighting throughout both rings. There isn't really much any manufacturer can do about that. It's even moe frustrtating to those of us that purchased 2011 X5's, that BMW didn't include the new Corona LED's on our vehicles. Now they have decided to add it in March of this year.

Sometimes I think they have a hand in the aftermarket industry. Imagine how much money BMW owners have spent in the last few years on all the different H8 bulbs !!

True. A bit like ebay and paypal. Hey... I think only my running lights were on in the first picture I posted because the yellow outside light isn't on. Here's a picture from tonight with my iphone.

I think they're pretty bright right? Again I have an E70 so not sure the mega bright ones would work with my car.

Yeah. Most of the LEDS look pretty good at night. I like the pics the other guy just posted of the Black Sapphire truck. Not sure what kind he has.

Hey MissFortune can you tell me the info for your tint guy? I'm in Orange County and thinking about having mine re-done on the rear window.

Yeah, I got it done at Stealth Auto in Alhambra. If you want to come up to LA, it's a great place to get work done on your car esp BMW's.

It was $180 for the entire car.

Here's the website:

http://www.stealthauto.com/

Good luck!
