Top and Side View camera

I notice that the Top and side View camera is available now for the F10 5 Series. Has anyone tried it and is it worth the $800?

Garage List
The top view cameras are very helpful when parking in a tight spot or parallel parking. The side view cameras are moderately useful. If you do a lot of city driving and/or in places where curbside parking is common, they will help you get a better view when pulling out into the street and reduce the risk of accidents. IMHO, it's $800 well spent.

It's only a shame that the camera's aren't better protected from road grime. During winter (in UK's wet weather) the vision is almost permanently obscured. Works well when clean

How well do any of the side, top or rear cameras work in the dark?

Thanks

Very well, because you can select a night mode.

You can also adjust the brightness percentage both within daytime and night mode.

Totally agree. In combination with Park Assist it's simply awesome.

I ordered Park assist with the camera's for my wife but I have to admit it is that good that I use it all the time myself .
The system is right 95% of the time. And through the top view you can monitor the progress of the parking maneuver.

I have the top down cameras on our X5 and it's excellent for hugging the curb on those end parking spots where you want as much room as possible between you and the next vehicle.
