M5 has arrived, no longer an E90 poster :(

Well, after 4 years of being an E90poster I have moved on to the M5boards...I'll say that you guys have M5boards beat by a long shot on content and usefulness of posts, I'll miss it...

Here is my new(used) beast!

Now that is an upgrade Enjoy it! M5's my dream car. So much gadgetry, horsepower, and handling! Looks great; nice color. Very aggressive looking car. How many miles on it?

Only thing that kinda sucks is the like 12 mpg But screw it - totally worth it.

Congrats OP!

Yep, my cousin went from M3 to M5, and he said not as fun to drive. But his wife told him the car needs to have 4 doors due to baby (not really sure what kind of logic that is). He was considering S4 to try to keep the overall size down, but went M5. For whatever reason he didn't want an E90 M3....

Congrats - that car is definitely a Jekyll and Hyde. It's amazing how a few thousand RPM and P400/500 option can change it from a diesel with a broken turbo to an exotic that belongs on an open race track.

Question - 6 Speed Man or SMG?

Got the 7SMG after much debate...decided the computer could shift faster than I normally can plus it only comes in SMG over seas and the M5 board guys say the car is 'built around it'

When you hit the M button, the EDC goes to full stiffness and you can feel every bump in the road making the ride very raw, the SMG goes to full shift speed which is lightning quick and pretty harsh, the side bolsters in the two front seats tighten and grip your sides, and the power is increased from 400 to 500HP, the only way I can describe it is it feels like I cut a drag parachute loose and the car completely transforms into a monster...hence why its nick named 'The Beast!' It will definitely put a shit eating grin on your face that's hard to get rid of
