Can you order a customized vehicle for lease?

I'm just curious, for a lease vehicle, can you build one, or can you only choose from available vehicles in the dealer's inventory?

BMW actually likes you to custom order cars. You'll usually spend more money tailoring it to your desires, they're usually not making as good a deal with you to get it off their lot and they're not financing it in their inventory for any length of time.

So what you are saying is that you are likely to get better deals from a custom order?

Short answer, yes, you should be able to. They enjoy the fact that when people custom order cars they tend to request more options which means a higher price. But, lets just say they had the exact car with the exact options sitting on the lot. It cost the dealer more to have that sitting there waiting for a buyer than it does for you to custom order one. When you custom order, they don't have the same carrying costs. You should use that in your negotiating to get some money taken off the MSRP.

Not necessarily. Depends on what incentives the stealer is running. For an in-stock deal, also depends how bad they want to move the car.
