2011 335xi E92 vs 2009 335xi E92

So I just read about the new I-6 engine that will be placed in the 2011 335xi. How is it going to compare to the current twin-turbo in the 335i? I was looking into possibly getting a used 2009, but will it even be worth it? And do you guys think the prices will be dropping dramatically once the new 335i with the new engine is produced?

The N55 is already being used, the N54 (twin turbo) is only available in used 335 models.

Thanks, I'm well aware that the 335is and 1M use a tweaked version of the N54.

However, if you read the original question it was specifically abut the 335i, the x-drive version. Also the 335is is RWD only. It was kind of apparent from his question that he didn't realize that buying a new 335i with a twin turbo N54 engine was no longer possible.

Performance numbers look similar between two.

2011 coupe has changes in front and interior (mood lighting). I'm not a big fan of the facelift (looks ok in person) but mood lighting is pretty cool. Also comes with white angel eyes.

There's no changes to the coupe's interior lighting, E92 coupes have had "ambiance lighting" (mood lighting) since '07.
