What The Hell Is This???
I just bought an 07 335i coupe a 2 week ago so i decided to see what it could do. I fully turned of traction control and did a 5 second burn out. I will admit that i was reving a little high throughout the burnout but whatever. As soon as i stop stopped my engine light came on and it felt like the car was misfiring. I pulled over, turned the car off then on and it was perfectly fine. A week later the car has been driving perfectly. I thought buying a 300hp rwd car entitles you to have a little fun every once in a while.
what the hell is the problem? Is it a coilpacks? |

Take it in for service. The code will still be stored. Had this same problem. It ended up being the fuel injectors. Didn't find that out until after they replaced the cyl 1 coilpack and it happened again. They changed out all 6 plugs and fuel injectors.

Had an intermittent like that, it turned out to be collapsed vacuum lines to the waste gate actuators. Fairly common problem, according to the SA. Both lines replaced under warranty.

It's your car, you can do what you like. But be prepared to dish out major $$$ when your drive shaft, bearings, and your suspension components start to fall apart from the burn outs, not to mention your transmission.
