New Guy From CA. STI-->67 Camaro-->e90
Hello!
I was currently in the market for a AW or SGM e90 or e92 but I think i'm set on a AW e90. I'm looking forward to learn from this forum since it's my first BMW. I've had a 350 awhp+ STi, LS1 powered 1967 camaro, and cbr600rr. Hopefully I can find a used 2007-2009 AW around the northern ca area. First thing first, what do people first do to these fine machines? I'm thinking of blacking out the current "chrome" window trim and etc. Here's a few pics of my old ride. My Voltex/ARC/semi jdm 2005 STi... this was in 2007 before the "flush" movement got all "hyphy" LOL . 1967 camaro: I hope you guys enjoy.... looking forward to finding my e90 -Dan |

That 67 is a sweet ride there. I've always had a soft spot for the '67, '68, and '69 Camaros.

LCI=Life Cycle Impulse (Think facelift).
2009 was the LCI for the sedans, 2011 for the coupes.

your taste pattern sounds the same as mine. i've had 6 camaros and a firebird, and 05 sti that made about 310 awhp, about about 15 other cars inbetween that. including a modded/supercharged 05 Cadillac cts-v.
cheers man welcome to the club. seems like most get a tuner first, and pre-lci means >09, lci means 10< there are a few differences in front end of the car and a different engine i believe. twin scroll single turbo with valvetronic aka the n55. i think they might get a little better gas mileage than the twin turbo n54 engine.

Just sold my 70 Chevelle for an 08 335xi and really loving it, good choice man, granted my Chevelle didn't have an ls1, but they are a completely different beast and I've got no regrets

The subaru was the best and funnest car I've ever owned/built. For a 2.5liter 4 door to run 11.7 and hold close to a .99g. It's a damn great car.... Can't say the same for the heavy ass camaro. Turn heads ... yes, it's a classic.... but it was a LONG and expensive build! |
