PSA, good news if you need a jack
stopped by harbor freight today and bought this, $19.99. turns out that the head fits perfectly into the stock jack pads. jack works excellently, and is BY FAR the best low cost option to the BMW jack for an emergency car jack. if you even think you might need to have one in the car, buy this jack.

the best part of this jack is definitely the head interface that actually works with the jack pads, it feels much more secure using this than other universal jacks, at least now if i get a flat, i'll have confidence on the side of the road that the car isnt going to slip off the jack.

Harbor Freight sells junk. I got the low pro racing jack and after 18 uses, it leaks oil. Not sure if they could mess up a scissor jack like that, but it wouldn't surprise me in the least.

generally i agree about harbor freight stuff, but some of it, when used occasionally works very well. this jack is made pretty well, and will definitely serve its intended purpose. |
