Exclamation thinking of buying a 2007 335i coupe (e92) Need help!

i really want to get a 07 e92 but has a few questions. If i get one that is about 40k miles with the maintenance warranty expired, will the repair and maintenance be costly? how much is a single service and how often do i have to do it? hows the fuel economy that you guys are getting on 335i s? thx ! im really looking forward to drive a BMW.

Why not just get CPO from the dealership? I was online this am and they want 28k for one with under 30k. CPO good through 2012. I'm sure they'll sell for less than 28k.

Potential prob OOW could be turbos, injectors, coil packs, that's 10k. Hardly worth saving 1500 because a car isn't cpo.

If you are gonna go for an '07 why not add an '06 M3? You can get them as low as $33K.

Regular maintenance is cheap. They really don't do a lot with it either, fluid and filter changes. My last service was about 300-350 if I'm not confusing things.
Then I've had a repair as well, that was about 600-700 and that time I didn´t say anything about the price. When the cars are fresh out of warranty, if you ask for it, sometimes they lower the prices for items that obviously shouldn't break.

Owning a 335 out of warranty really isn't that frightening if you get the extra drivetrain warranty. And I wouldn´t be afraid of owning one without any warranties at all.
As long as you´re not boosting 20 psi all day long, you shouldn't have any really expensive repairs to look forward to.

Yeah, and of course if you were boosting 20, there isn't a warranty that would hold up for any drive train damage you might encounter!

I picked up mine for 26 with the extended maintenance. You should really try to get the extended maintenance or warranty thrown in if you are at that price or higher. I would go with the maintenance if you are going to mod because they can't take that away. Good luck with the buy and enjoy the new ride.
