BMW Launches Limited Edition 1936 BMW 328 Replica

The car is an authentic replica of the original 1936 BMW 328 that famously won the 1939 24hr Le Man's. In 2009 one sold at auction for approximately £335,000, no one knows exactly how many of the originally produced 426 cars remain today.

The replica will be produced to order and so it is expected that only a very small number will exist.

- Two years warranty
- Leather upholstery
- Painted aluminium dashboard with retro-styled instruments and ivory background
- Carpeted floor
- Spare wheel
- Bespoke leather and body colour on demand
- Four stroke fuel powered 6.5hp engine
- Hydraulic brakes
- Electic start
- Reverse gear
- Functioning instruments, including headlights, rear lights, horn and dashboard instruments
- Size = 2.12m x 0.98m (scale 1:6)
- Weight = 152kg
- Choice of leather and body colour
- Engraved, personalised number plate

Priced in Euro's at EUR 11,000, the limited edition collectors car is available to order until January 31st 2011.

That won't be so bad if it includes the road tax

Can I order it with winter tyres?
It is a deal breaker Anneka

Matt, nice to see you're about!
You could get a baby racer for the other one?? Last month's "Product of the Month"

The colour combo's are
- Polaris Grey (silvery) with Black leather interior
- Red with Black leather interior
- Cream (original colour) with brown leather
- Polaris Grey with red leather interior
- Charmonix White with black leather interior
- Polaris grey with brown leather interior
... or, go bespoke with BMW Individual (erm, don't quote me on that just yet)

I suspect these will (sooner or later) appreciate in value, depending how many are made.

However, I would be interested in knowing which colour combo is best. Original seems a good bet although will possibly be most common, whereas the individual buyers surely won't care about that, because they bought it for some non-historic reason?

Only with a child in it

The product communications do say enjoyed by 'you or your child', but I don't see how an interior set up for children ages 6+ will be comfortable for an adult. I wonder if Bracknell can set up a test drive for me?
