Arrow Cruise Acceleration Issue - 1st to figure it out WINS !

Cruise control won't set nor accelerate by pressing the stalk forward.

Here's the scenario. E90 325i 2006

Driving on the freeway at regular speed. Cruise control set. Cruise turned off by itself and the SES light pops on. Cruise no longer works by pressing the stalk forward. The cruise will set if I pull the stalk back towards me or press the set button on the end. Acceleration by pressing the stalk forward doesn't work.

Here's the confusing part.

If I try to set the cruise by pressing the stalk forward, all of the other stalks that are on the steering column will not work.(turn signals, wipers, hi beams) To get everything working again all I have to do is turn the cruise off by moving the cruise stalk up or down. Then everything is normal again.

I tried it in the driveway parked. Pushed the start so all of the electronics work in the car but engine not running. Steering column stalks all work. Press cruise forward, everything is disabled. Turn cruise off, everything works again.

A day after the SES light came on, it went out by itself. The cruise setting function by pressing the stalk forward still doesn't work. The buttons on the end of the stalks all work consistently. (BC button, auto wiper button and cruise set button.

Has anyone ever heard of this? Any suggestions?

Maybe you are already travelling at 110mph. 110mph is the maximum set cruise control speed

Hmmm that would be a problem. Perhaps you can some how modify the speedometer to read below 110mph in order for you to use cruise control.
Unless, the cruise control works by your actual speed, in which case you would be screwed. In such a scenario, my only advice would be that you might actually have to slow down in order to use cruise control.

Did i WIN??
