Hello from new member!
Hi there, just chiming in to say hi!
I'm BRAND new to the world of BMW. Have owned and raced (NASA, BMWCCA, PCNA, etc) Honda S2000s for a very long time and finally decided I wanted something a little more refined. A friend of mine had been working on this BMW for a long time and decided he wanted to sell it so I just decided to dive in head first and buy it. I'd like to eventually get this one on the track, too...but it will by all means be a daily driver car. The car is a 2007 335i 6sp and (among other small things) has eibach springs, VMR V710 19" wheels, vishnu exhaust, hks blowoff, and a custom blacked out interior (black fabric, painted surfaces, etc). Things I'm interested in if you have any good links (though I freely admit I haven't done any searching yet): 1. Will mods void my warranty? (ok, kidding, read that thread already ) 2. Back up cameras that work with stock vid screen 3. Popular and useful DIY mods 4. Headlight baking (I have one that leaks) 5. Alignment setups and advice (the prior owner set it up for looks, not performance, so it's very squirrelly. Right now I think it's a combination of rear camber and front caster...but I could be WAY off since I know nothing about E90s yet) 6. Recommendations on changing diff/tranny fluid (frequency and oil types...I'm a big fan of LE1605 for S2Ks). The car: Its predecessors: Pretty much stock except for some stability (sway bars, etc) Heavily modified, track-ready, ~400hp via supercharger. That's enough ranting I guess, see you all around. Also, for most BMW problems start off by scanning your car with the Peake Research Tool. It contains the actual BMW codes. If you want to register a newly installed battery for free (just buy a $10 cable) and google/download BMWLogger

^^ Thanks. I drove the SC one for the last time last night right before selling it.
It had been parked for almost 3 months since I got the 335 and I had forgotten how ridiculously fast it is. I'm definitely doing to miss it, and it will almost surely make me want to chip the 335 at some point. |
