Newb w/ my 1st BMW.....newb question for you guys.

Yesterday I bought my 1st BMW. Its a CPO 08 Sparkling Graphite 335i sedan w/ Gray interior. It came fully loaded w/ Nav, sports package, premium package, comfort access, and some other stuff. I traded in my 04 TSX w/ full A-Spec package.

I love this car!

I will prob want to mod the engine eventually, but for now I will prob just go cosmetic. Where do you guys go online for all your BMW parts? Do you guys prefer 1 store vs another? Where can I get a black matte grill for a good price?

Thx guys!!

Added pics: 1/9 These pics were taken w/ my phone. SLR is on the fritz.

congrats on the car and yea just reference that thread....i would tell you to look at www.bimmian.com...they have a good selection of cosmetic mods and you can actually get a fully customized grille set just the way you want it!

You're right, it is night and day. I can't believe I stayed w/ that car for so long. I'll post pics when I can get some good day times pics.

Grats! I'm looking to getting into a 3 from an 04 TSX as well. Nice to hear you noticed a big change.

Did you have a 6 speed?

My wife loves my 335i so much she is thinking of selling her Evo and getting one herself. She'll be getting a 6 speed. She hates driving automatic.

Congrats!
I recently moved over to BMW from a 2005 TSX 6 spd. My TSX had a Comptech rear bar, Buddy Club 10 way adj. coilovers, really sticky rubber, CAI, reflash, etc...however, there is absolutely no, I repeat, no comparison to the new E92.
That's fantastic your wife drives an Evo! I handed down the TSX to my wife. She loves it, and drives it like she's Danica Patrick Jr.
Enjoy!

Damn, lots of Acura converts here. I just went from an '02 RSX type-S to my '11 E92. The RSX was fun but the BMW is soo much nicer.

I loved all my Honda's and Acura's. The problem is they don't make any luxury, high performance, sport cars anymore. Plus, all the new Acura's look like bloody hell with the "power plenum" front grill. Moreover, most all of the Asian automakers have totally dropped the ball with regards to high performance luxury sport cars. What idiots!......so many young people who were raised on and who modified Asian cars - what do they have to buy when the have the bucks and want something faster, more luxurious, a manual tranny, and more refined???? Absolutely nothing worthwhile that's Asian - which is why we migrate to 335i's, S4's,etc.

We need a good looking Acura coupe or sedan, small & lightweight, with a slick Honda manual tranny, turbocharged, 300+ HP, with a quiet classy European style leather interior that's as solid as a bank vault, AWD as sophisticated and badass as the Evo's, and laser precise steering like an EVO, with Acura quality and reliability, and under $50K.
