GreenThree turned in tonight

This special car introduced me to the BMW brand. I am now hooked Intentionally took the long, twisty way back to the stealer to drop it off. It will be missed. I especially appreciate the unique color, sportiness and driving dynamics compared to my other DD's. Hopefully it finds a good home. But it doesnt end there! Fortunately my new e90 will soon arrive: BlackThree is the next chapter in this adventure

What do you miss most about your first BMW?

Good choice on biting the bullet. It's going to come in and it'll all be worth it!

nice, I liked the green as well. I miss my first BMW because it was an e92. I decided I'd rather have a sedan so I bit the bullet and traded now when I see an E92 I wish I hadn't. I guess the grass is always greener right? lol

I just don't see myself buying another 3 series. I bought it at the time because that was what I could afford, it just makes sense to raise the bar the next time around.

Yea, I considered buying it out, but the deal was not there, and I really wanted to try 6MT and ZPP. For many competitive deals, it seems that BMW model is to get you into another lease. (they get a CPO to sell in a hot used car market place, and they make a new sale) For me: Great deal on new lease + holiday credit + pull ahead program= you don't need to twist my arm to get into a new 3 series : p

I'll be interested to check the dealers Pre owned inventory soon to see how my old car fares...

The king is dead! Long live the king! Farewell to GreenThree and Godspeed to BlackThree.

I will be sad when my 330i goes, it has been -- and still is! -- such a terrific car. But probably when the new 3-er comes out, I'll start getting the itch to look at cars again. I have to say, I thought I'd be sick of it by now, but I still look forward to driving every day.

I know the feeling... Its possible that the I-6 will be going away for the next generation 328. What will you consider when the new 3er comes out?

What's a ski bag option? Like, an actual ski bag? Why would you get that from BMW?

i think my '07 328xi coupe was one of the few e92s on the road in my local area when first leased. i wanted to buy it 3 yrs later, but the dealer asked for WAY too much $. he said that the demand for an off-lease e92 x-drive was too high for him to bring down the price... whatever. I really do miss the gorgeous e92 exterior, especially Alpine White w/dark tints. However, i don't regret switching to the e90 bc I like having 4 doors and a little extra power from the 330 intake. Also, the beige interior in my coupe stained easily, the cupholders were awful, and the run-flat tires sucked.

Yes. The fold down rear seat is a 475 option that adds some utility and a passthrough for skis. The ski bag prevents water from dripping off your skis and onto the back seats.

I couldnt believe what I was quoted to buy out my car. I will miss the color for sure. There was no interior color that looked better with deep green: Beige was beautiful. But was tough to keep perfect. Saddle seems to be nice middle ground between black and beige regarding seat cleaning. Also the footwells will be black this time around instead of beige - much easier to maintain.

Honestly, I have no idea because I don't feel the need to get a new car yet. But I'm sure it will be the usual -- something relatively small and sporty and can be driven every day. Also, MT is a must. The 3er, in all its various forms, pretty much sets the standard within those parameters, so I'm sure it will be in the picture.

Your new car sounds great. Enjoy it!

Had to move my M3 from the garage today so I drove it around a bit and let the oil come up to temp. Pretty savage compared to the E91 I use now when I need a car. I'll soon miss the little gauges, and the tach needle that barely seems to move when you putt around town. It almost has the claustrophobic feel of an E36 M3 with black interior but is a little bigger and more modern. The newer BMWs just don't have that old feel, good or bad.

As much as I miss it, I can't wait for my new one! There are few things as enjoyable as car shopping and then taking delivery of your e90!

I miss seeing in the garage. I miss opening the door sand the Corona's turning on. Who am I kidding? My 328xi was getting on my nerves the last couple of months. No pep, Run flats and the suspension making the car feel like it's going to break over every small bump, hitting a bump mid-corner and the back end going unstable, the brake lights burning out, my corona's burning out. The Radio speakers making random loud noises, Having to change the runflats 4 times and not being able to repair because of the nails that went inside them. Having to constantly check my oil over and over again to make sure my car is not burning any while I'm driving normally. I miss none of that. Good Riddance to bad rubbish.

Congrats on your new 3er. Hope you don't go through what I had to.
