I don't dislike them, but to me they don't look right. The main issue I have with them is not that it's an Audi clone or anything like that, it's that they're add-on lights that were not there from the factory and especially add-on lights, in my view, don't look right on a car. That said, if it was a truck then add-on lights would be OK, especially cab lights like on the roof of a pick up truck or off road lights on a truck that was set up to be an off road truck.

Nice FMIC! You're car looks awesome, just upgrade the angel eyes. A dealer offered to install that for you? Those defiantly aren't OEM.

well said about the pick up truck lights addon heh , but about copying Audi, even Porsche, Mercedes use the same LED technologie so its a common thing now I think

Ty and yes the dealer offered the installation of the kit for me. Plus they're OEM as i saw the BMW box with the part # that includes them with all the retrofits needed to be installed.

I was thinking this was about the angel eyes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who prefers the incandescent eyes...love the yellow in the day and love the contrast even more at night. But to each his own!

As for the LED strips....I think it does go a bit over the top...I think a M3 is a beautiful statement...muscular but not "look at me, look at me!" Roll in an M3 like the OP has and everyone who knows cars is thinking "mmmmm!" Doesn't need the lights to make it a better looking or driving car!

It does not look good. Those belong on a car that came with them.

There is no such thing as "DOT approval."

These add-on leds always look aftermarket. Audi was the first to properly integrate them and even the MB ones look like an afterthought.

Looks really bad. BMW's shtick is the angel eyes, AUDI has the LED strips and M-B has....whatever it is that they have. Although, and I could be mistaken, but isn't Porsche doing the LED strip thing now?

Yes, Porsche does it as well.

MB failed on their attempt on this. And if BMW designs them like that it's going to be a major faildom

If BMW follows this trend, it will be interesting to see how they integrate those lights to look good on their cars when they already have the trademark coronas. I think it has to be one or the other in this case - not both. That picture in the OP screams Audi or MB to me. Audi has done a nice job with illumination IMO. But does not belong on the e9x for daytime or nightime
