Is this normal?
I've owned two 2007 328i's since Thanksgiving. The "Blue" one (non-CPO) has the sport package, the "Red" one (CPO) doesn't. The Blue doesn't exhibit any of the following issues, while the Red exhibits all of them. So, is the Blue non-CPO one normal, or is the Red CPO one normal?
1) Loud whirring, spinning, metallic sound of the transmission at very low speeds and/or while in low gear (like driving around a parking lot, or slow traffic). 2) High pitch shrill type frequency/noise between 40-50 mph coming from the engine. 3) Lag in the throttle response when accelerating from stop. 4) Lack of smoothness in the up and down shift. Get the irony here? The non-CPO runs, feels, and sounds great; the CPO one runs, feels, and sounds terrible! |

I think the best bet would be to take it to another dealership for a 2nd opinion..

Are they both automatics? #3 happens to me all the time, I don't think that's a problem. Just kick it into DS and it'll get sharper. For everything else, try another dealer like the other guy said.

+2, if one of them is doing it and one of them is not then it's obviously not normal.
