California drivers! Need pics of your tints.

Can any of you show me pictures of your tint and tell me the % you decided to do? I've searched through the forum but see that all the States must have different laws about tinting.

I think you can tint up to 30% here so that 70% of light gets through - right? New to all this mod stuff. Also, if you happen to have a space gray X5, you get bonus points!

No space gray here but the dealer tinted my fronts to match the factory tint (rear climate option). I don't recall the % but its nicely within the NC limit. So far, no hassle from LEOs.

Ohhhhhh... looks nice! Thanks for posting! I'm gonna have the guy that my dealer recommends so I'm sure he'll do a nice job but I know I'll have a choice between two shades - one darker than the other and not sure what to do.

If you have the rear climate, then tinting the front to 35% should match perfectly.

Thanks for the info. I think that's legally too dark for California and I sure don't want to have it removed and redone. They ticket a lot out here for dark tints (we're bankrupt so they ticket for everything). Appreciate it!

IN DE the law is rears can be anything and front sides can be as low as 35% and anything lower you need a medical waiver or risk it. I hate seeing people with limo (5%) tint n their rear windows then nothing up front. Looks dumb. I just posted picks of my new tint as well.

I agree. I dislike the ombre look esp when the back is a lot darker than front. Looks like a mistake to me. I prefer the look of all one tint color. I go the medium tint today. I'll post pics soon. The medium is not legal on the front windows but the light option was soooooo light. Tint guy says most folks get the medium which I suspect 20%. 30% is legal for front windows here in LA.
