Where Can I Find a 12v + Near Fuses?
I'm looking for a 12v positive that turns off when the car is turned off. So far all fuses seem to stay powered when the vehicle is turned off.
Anybody know the color of the wire running to the cigarette lighter perhaps? I'm trying to wire up a radar detector. |

It shouldn't..most people who've hardwired their radar detectors in use that circuit.

So you were right bsamoul.
Originally I read that fuse 75 was the HomeLink system on the forums. I tried it on my car 08 335 and it stayed on. I went back and checked and sure enough my homelink is fuse 7. Plugged it in and wallah! All is good. In the middle of all this, for some reason the lights weren't flashing and the chirp wasn't going when I locked the doors. I thought for sure I screwed something up, and was ready to take it in to the dealer. To my relief the trunk was popped. My Land Rover would honk when a door/drunk wasn't closed correctly, that was somewhat a nice feature. Now I need to think about where to install my toggle switch... hmm. Thanks again. |
