barking dogs in trunk sound
I was coming out of a turn today and heard what sounded like dogs barking in the back of the car. then heard it again after a small bump in the road. it is obviously something rotational that is rubbing somewhere. I wonder if it is the rear brakes. I've been hearing a squeaking in the parking deck when going around corners which I believe to be brake wear sensors..but this was pretty loud and different sounding. anyone know what it is?

Did you already check the trunk to see if there are dogs?

You guys are soooooo funny! I didn't have any better way to describe it because that is exactly what it sounded like. Going next Tuesday to get it looked at, but wondering if anyone has heard that sound before and could say what it is...besides dogs in the trunk. I even looked back when I heard it thinking there were dogs chasing me. What else you got?

yes, car is stock. I looked under the back of the car at the suspension and can't see anything unusual. I've never heard anything like it before on any car ever so something isn't right. maybe my wheels are about to fall off.

Be careful when opening the trunk, Cesar says dogs tend to be pissed when they've been locked in a trunk for a while.
Tssst!

While you say "barking dog" and scoffed at the "toy poodle or great dane" question, that question is very valid if you equate your noise to a dog's bark.
There is a huge difference between a "yip, yip" of a little dog and a deep growling bark or a larger dog. What kind of a sound do you have? |

UPDATE:
took car in yesterday for the noise and they replaced the rear pads and sensor and front rotors, pads and sensor. They said it was probably the sensor or rear pads rubbing from being low..I hope they fixed it.. I'm sure they did. time will tell. I've decided not to bed the new brakes for fear I'll ruin them.. I've had good luck not bedding in the past.
