12-month report: 335d

Perhaps it was just sheer coincidence that the odometer on my 335d hit 10.000 km on its first anniversary but it's been a great 10.000 km and the car continues to provide as much Freude am Fahren today as it did when I drove it out of the BMW Welt a year ago.

I put together a fairly extensive 12-month report, online for your viewing/reading pleasure with lots of photos.

Since its start in Munich, the 335d has visited a lot of places, including Lindau, Berchtesgaden, Roßfeld, Graz, New York, Philadelphia, the Poconos, and New England. It’s even been on Lime Rock Park’s track.

It also continues to provide as much Freude am Fahren as it did on day one. Having now spent 12 months behind the wheel, I have found the 335d to be a unique offering, one that combines certain traits that typically aren’t found all in the same vehicle. These are sports car-like acceleration and handling, superb fuel economy, excellent ergonomics and passenger comfort, and Teutonic attention to detail.

currently driving a loaner 335d 2011. OH my GOD this car is amazing. the torque and gas mileage is a dream.

Actually I do. The problem is that, in addition to the 335d, I drive a different new car each week as well so I probably drive the 335d 1/3 of the time.
