i average about 75-80 mph on regular driving anyway (10-15 miles over CA speed limit). with the radar detector, i guess i'm still driving the same.

I haven't gotten a V1 yet until I see some reviews on the new passport with GPS, but I've been known to go 40+ over as long as there is no traffic. Unfortunately, there usually is traffic that restricts me to 15-25 over. We have crappy 55 limits on the highways I drive.

In the majority of states radar/laser detectors are legal. Canada isn't so lucky.

On the freeway I go from 75-85 in a 65mph zone. In the city only +5 or the limit.
But with the occasional jaunt to 100-150 on back roads with a 55mph limit.

my computer averaged 133 from LA to Vegas at 1am in the morning.
valentine saved me 3 times on that trip. you need to always be on the lookout tho, because if the cop doesn't have a radar on, the valentine wont pick it up. For example, i came over a hill doin about a buck 20 and the car exactly on the other side was a pig. dont rely on your radar too much, thats when ull get into trouble |

I usually go +5 at MOST on streets with or without my radar. In my area, most cops just park waiting for someone to fly by them. They usually dont sit their with their radars on or they'll just use laser which is instantanious so if it says laser on your detector and your speeding..ehh your f*cked, so it killed the whole point of having a radar detector for me. Sold it after about 2..3 months.
