They all have the same stock images. If I had to guess it is because it was rainy during the press event. -Brett

In the technical tidbits section of the article, they mention “• 3 Series alternators switch off during acceleration and generate maximum power during coasting and especially braking, like a hybrid's regen feature”. Although this has been mentioned in some BMW articles about efficient dynamics, I don’t believe I had seen it specifically mentioned about the 3 series before.
The body of the article says: “The 335i's 300-horse twin-turbo intercooled engine may have had a bit of tuning since our first encounter last September; we felt no trace of turbo lag, whine, or whistle this time out. That's largely because the blowers are small and tucked away down low in the engine compartment. They serve only to fill in the lower half of the torque curve, achieving their peak boost of about 12 psi almost instantly, and blowing their bypass valves by 3000 rpm. From there on, it behaves like a naturally aspirated 7000-rev engine with 10.2:1 compression”. Since this engine generates much more torque between 3000 rpm and 5000 rpm compared to the European Direct Injected NA engine of the 2007 330i, even if boost is reduced after 3000 rpm, it doesn’t make sense that it would be eliminated completely as the article claims. the memory buttons are below the radio...they are like normal radio memory preset buttons, but dont have numbers, just dashes. Tried it on the X5 and was very impressed...works well!

Besides, I thought your inside source already had them? (J/k) -Brett

Here's where they are and how they should look. The inset photo is from the new X5, I think, but the buttons look like they're the same for the E93.

I mostly disagree with their assessment on that, however, I will say that when its cold, it does give a bit of a spongy-like feedback when you are trying to get it to go into first gear. I almost feel like I am going to bend the stick sometimes if I try too hard to get it into gear. Its distinct from my M3 which is also a pain to get into first on cold start, but provides a more solid resistance until it drops into gear.

Here's another one from Australia (I read this mag every week - its pretty good).
http://www.goauto.com.au/mellor/mell...25726D001418A2 They say that they don't get the sport suspension standard on the e93. I can't remember if that's the case for the US. I guess I'll have to check the ordering guide again. |

Yeah. By "missing" he meant "missing from the stanard option list". This is as opposed to the E92, where it is standard. I couldn't remember if it was also not standard on the E93 in the US. But yes the order brochure confirms that it is not. Not a big deal to me since I will definitely get ZSP anyway if I get an E93.
