Ex Audi fan

just recently picked up 2011 335 coupe from a 08 Audi TT...was a big Audi fan for couple of years. After owning the 335 I now understand why its called the ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE! From the brakes, handling, feel of the road...its AMAZING Anybody here use to own an AUDI?

I have a 2008 TT roadster, which I think is a fun, neat car. My wife and kid have 3 series cars and love 'em. I've had a number of Audis and BMWs, but when I sell/trade my Audi in a year or 2, a 335 (either M-sport or 335is) is definitely my next car.

I had two S4's (w/V8)... I'm going to miss Quattro in the snow, but I really like the Diesel.

FWIW that A4 weighs 3406lbs, your E92 with the MT is 3560lbs so your impression that it was heavy is probably due to having less hp and ligther/number steering. Also not sure if you are still on RFTs but their stiff sidewall greatly aids turn in and adds to an overall "tossable" characteristic

I currently own an Audi to go with my 335. They are two completely different beasts.

I've had two Audi's ... going from a TT to a 335 is a big change. Try going from an S5 to a 335 ... you'll think differently

Had an 06 S4 before my E92 and i love them both. The S definitely had one up on the interior with the recaros and suede seats but the BMW has a nice interior too. Either way i loved the Audi and i love my BMW too.

I've had 3 S4's - a B5, B6 and B8. The B5 was my favorite. I had horrible transmission issues with the 2008 S4, and Audi essentially bought it back - which is how I got into the TT. No question the Audi TT is a very different car from the 335, but the only Audi I like is a TTRS and (1) it's not available in a roadster, and (2) it's going to be way overpriced. For the money, I'd buy a Boxster S. But, I think I'll go with a 335xi coupe as a next car. For now, no reason to get rid of the TT - it's an s-line, 6MT, with every option and only 13K miles. Not even a stone chip anywhere. The car is really nice, and best of all, paid off! Just bought a 2009 loaded 328xi coupe with 10K miles for my kid as his 2001 A4 was costing me a fortune in repairs. No more Audis for me - at least not for a while.

Owned a 2001.5 S4. After replacing two blown turbos just so I could sell the car I am happy in the BMW camp.

False. Stock still understeers quite a bit. Even more so with either a staggered tire setup or front-biased sway bars. I will agree less than an Audi though.

Audi's exterior styling is quite nice. Not to crazy about the interior though... Buttons galore.

well. I had 2008 A4 (26k miles) and my buddy has 2006 A4 (about 50-60k). I had 0 problems with mine and my buddy had a few O2 sensors replaced....On the other hand I had big problems (water pump, oil temp sensor, head gasket oil leak, few electrical issues) with my 2002 M3 (sold with 46k miles) and I had turbos replaced on my 335i at 40k miles

Weird, I had a 2003 M3 and I ran it for 40k including track time. No problems, at all.

Ive had 2 Audi a4's. One was stick and the other tiptronic. There is an Audi s5 in the family to so I get to drive it a lot. But to be honest I have driven a few BMW's and they take the cake. It doesn't matter if the AUDI has quattro, the bmw's handle so much better and feel more sporty and solid. I just bought a 2011 335i msport and I am really pleased with the switch. BMW for lifee

Went from 2006 Audi A3 2.0T to 2009 328i sport wagon... Two very different cars. There are things I like better about each (e.g., DSG > traditional automatic), but both are great cars.

I had a 2001 Audi A4 with APR stage 3 (turbo upgrade) among a whole bunch of other things done to it. It was a great car, but I am now a proud parent of a 2007 335i and I love it.

According to CR, Audi has worse reliability than BMW, which is pretty, pretty bad-right near the bottom.
