Memphis, TN recommendations

I'm new to BMW and have a 2007 e90 335i with 52k miles. My oil light came on tonight, so I have posted in the proper forum (I believe). See thread here please: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=450882

My question is, I'm thinking that I might take the car to an independent shop in Memphis, TN if this is a problem and also to do my oil changes and maintenance. I don't want to pay the dealership $125/hr. Please let me know any recommendations and reviews (good and bad). I really appreciate any help as I am completely new to BMW. Thanks in advance.

Just add some oil and be done with it, I seen in your other post you had the oil changed 2 months ago, so adding a litre every couple months (depending on mileage) is not bad.

Had this happen recently on a road trip - no need to go to a shop just add some and monitor it. I wouldn't add an entire quart, my car called for a quart and I added about 1/4 of a quart and the oil level settled at about 75% of the electronic meter.

Thanks for the replies. Is it normal to have to add oil between oil changes? Also, I want to get recommendations on a shop because I'm going to get the oil changed in about 2500-3000 more miles. I'm planning to get oil changes every 7500 miles instead of 15,000. I think it will give me more peace of mind, especially coming from cars that called for oil changes every 3k miles.

Yea it's pretty common to add oil...

Try regionals as far as shops go...but it's a pretty simply DIY too
