Hello , New member about to buy a 335i or 135i
Hello , I currently drive a 350z nismo and i recently just had a baby boy and now im in a situation were i need to sell my nismo because i can only afford to have 1 car.. My choices are between the 135i / 335i / Evo ix Mr <-- this is pretty much out of the question because at this time in my life im in for more class and elegance lol.. Anyhow ive been researching alot on the 135i and 335i and how would you compare the 2? Why would i get the 335i over the 135i ? and is the comparability enough to make 1 better then the other or is it just personal prefference? Im sure there are other threads but i havnt found any but i no there out there so *heads up and apologizing early if i posted in wrong section.. to me the 335i is the better choice and price is no issue as im looking to spend 25-35k and its going to be used and 07-09 years.. Thank you

That post should help. Personally, I'd take the 335, especially with a family. It's much sexier than the 135.

From what I've seen of the 1 series, the backseat is pretty useless. I think the more practical option would be a 3 series e90 sedan, but if you must have a coupe, the 3 series is still larger than the 1 series, so more practical. IMO, it would absolutely be horrible putting a child in the backseat of a coupe. Even my e90 backseat is tight and I'm normal height (6'0"). Good luck with your search and upgrade and congrats on the new baby.

just go with the 335i since price isnt an issue... ive always disliked the 1 series in general... the whole car seems a bit too small and the headlights are like disproportionately big compared to everything else lol.
but thats all just personal preference |

Yeah, those 1-series headlights are just huge... possibly the largest compared to the rest of the car for any model out there... can't really think of another with headlights so bulbous.

If you are getting "used" consider the HPFP issue with either of your choices. What is the current warranty of the HPFP? 100,000 miles? Does this warranty transfer with the car even if it is not certified? Are you willing to bet BMW will come out with a new reliable HPFP for your engine if you plan on owning it past expiration of current HPFP warranty?
If you don't want to worry about that issue, the 328 or the 335d would solve the little problem.

I would think with a baby coming into the family u need something safe AND 'reliable' and would look away from 335i.
Get the 335d or stick to 328i. Evaluate the space in the back, try some friend's car or so, to make sure the car will be big enough for your convenience. Good luck deciding.

My Dad has a 135i and I have a 335xi e92. Honestly, the back seats are MUCH more usable in the 3-series. Also, for daily driving purposes, the 135i is a bit small. I've always owned SUVs until now, so it's a pretty drastic change for me anyway. They're both awesome rides.
