i have the opportunity to do this but searched around without really finding a complete and accurate list of things you can have the dealer reprogram such as your angels as drl's or having your lights stay on after you park etc...anyone know anywhere i can find a complete list of these things? or any suggestions on what i can have done while im there?

Confused...so u can program things such as the angel eyes and drl's or no? This just made me more confused and with even more contradicting answers...straight up: can they reprogram my angels to run as the drls's or no?

I have my angels wired to my cigg lighter....they function as DRLs.

I also have them wired to my driver's side footwell light...they are "welcome lights."

There's a DIY in that subforum.

7.Enable M3 digital speedometer in the instrument cluster
8.Enable any lights as your Welcome Lights
9.Enable remote trunk opening/closing (X5/X6 only)
10.Disable iDrive warning
11.Disable door gong
12.Disable headlight washers
13.Disable a bulb check error (LED bulbs, HIDs, etc.)
14.Retrofit coding (OEM Alarm, Sirius, PDC etc.)
15.E9x LCI tail lights coding (all FRM versions)
16.Head Unit audio output coding (Stereo, HiFi, TopHiFi, Individual)
17. Disable DRL

so as a followup, just got my car back from the dealer and they supposedly tried the drl disable (or making my angels my drl's) and it did not work..i mentioned it when i brought my car in and he said they charge for it (somewhere from $65-$120)..so i told them to forget about it until i came up with a list of stuff i wanted to do..well i went in today and he said they tried it for me as a favor (which was really nice of him) just because my car was already plugged in to reset the frm or something for another issue i had..so maybe ill try pm'ing DimSum and see if he can do anything about it..thanks for the help everyone

I went to two dealers and three independents specializing in BMW and/or Mercedes.... none of them can code my car for LCI taillight retrofit. Still waiting on Patrys.

Coding has been brought up but not a list of things the BMW DEALER can do.
People posted a list of things they wanted done, but they have all failed to get anything major done (folding mirrors with FOB, closing windows, etc), and whatever they got done, you can do it yourself through the onboard computer with later models (2007+)

People from the thread you posted wanted DTRL turned on by the dealer.... this can already be done on my 335 and 535 through the iDrive.
They also posted that they failed at getting anything else done, so those threads have no info at all as far as "A LIST OF THINGS THAT CAN BE DONE".


I had my digital speedo and windows up programed on my car, but by a third party, not by the dealer.
I would like to know a list of what the DEALER can do not what 3rd can do.
