So guys with tunes, how easy does your 335i break the tirs loose
Ive been reading some threads about guys with tunes either the jb3 or procede not being able to get traction in first or second gear
My problem is I have The jb3 on level 7 and I can't burn out even with the dtc off Unless I dump the clutch But some members are saying they at loosing traction in second gear from just flooring the pedal, I can floor my car in 1st gear and not loose traction and it does not even chirp the tires going into 2nd gear I have the jb3 on level 7 with dtc off and I have the digital boost gauge and I hit about 14.5 lbs of boost and my rear tires are 275 35 19 What does the dci do? Maybe my car is just slow |

Mine is auto and if I floor it at 80km/h the traction lights stays on till 120km/h, or so. I assume it downshifts to second gear. I can't floor it from first or I will have no tires left. I'm running map 5 with DCI and 91 to 94 octane. Try a lower map, do you have any other mods?

I used to stay put for a little while when I floored it, with my old crappy run flats. Now I'm on Hankook Evo Ventus V12s, and I get traction all the way. Traction is a good thing, as long as you know your car is working properly and you aren't losing boost.

I was wondering if it was a power issue or if I just get really good traction somehow
I need more power Would I notice the power increase from down pipes and fmic ? |

map 7 without supporting mods is a bad idea. That could have something to do with it. Also, isn't map 7 supposed to hit more than 14.5 PSI.

What do you mean DTC off? If you press DTC and see the DTC text in the dash, it is on actually on, not off. To fully turn of traction (DSC), hold the DTC button until you see the triangle with an exclamation point and an arrow wrapping it. Your wheels should be free then.

I'm on map 5 also and get really good traction. When I was on map 7 and race fuel, I could easily light the tires up from a dig. I can definetly tell a difference between the maps! Especially with the race fuel.

If you don't have supporting mods i don't think you should run map 7. maybe thats why. The program knows it doesnt have supporting mods so it kicks it back into stock mod. |

No tire spinning on my current tires. First thing I did was swap out the runflats for some better ones.
Now wintertires are going back on, so then I'll get wheelspin all over the place. I'd say you have good tires, that's all. |

275 is wide
but I remember when I had 285 on my 335i I still lost traction in map 3... but I had DP and FMIC as well back then I lose traction now in the Z4 on Map 3 when I launch but I don't lose traction if I'm rolling I'm on stock 255s
