Best way to clear codes before dealer visit?
Hey guys, just wondering what the best off-the-shelf tool is for clearing codes prior to a dealer service visit.
I want the beat bang for buck possible, and I need to pick it up today as my service appt is for tomorrow. I guess I could reschedule, but I'd rather just deal with this as soon as possible. On that note, anyone in te SF Bay Area willing to help a fellow tuned n54 out with some code clearing help? I'll bring a six pack for your troubles |

You can go to an autoparts store, Autozone, Pepboys etc, and have it scanned and cleared for free. Though having a BT scan tool is a great convenience. I use mine at least twice a month.
