Help: New 2011 328i brakes very weak..

Hey everyone,

I picked up my 2011 328i (e90/xDrive) a couple of days ago, and have realized my brakes are much, much weaker than they should be. It hits the resistance point (if that's what it's called) much earlier, and has limited pedal travel. Pedal feels much stiffer than any other BMW/car I've driven. On top of that, the brakes feel about 1/4 as strong as it should be.

Also, my car was loaded with the 2010 maps. I know the 2011 maps were already out when I picked up my car, but I know my car left the factory in early September before the 2011 maps came out. Do you guys know if the maps are loaded at the factory or dealer?

Thanks in advance if anyone has any ideas about either of these issues! Much appreciated.

What did your dealer say about the brakes?

Yeah that and have you asked your dealer about the map update?

Seem like those things really need to be figured out at the dealer ASAP.

I wasn't driving the car much during the week so I only realized it on Friday, and didn't have a chance to take it in on Saturday. Sorry I thought perhaps another member had the brake issue at the beginning so they could advise. Thanks for the replies; I'll take it in next week.

If its new then you need to bed those suckers in. Do about 6-10 80mph-20 mph hard stops (almost cause abs to kick in).
