Transporting 4 OEM size wheels in E90?
Hi guys,
I have a set of style 216 on order and I'm prolly going to pick them up next week. How do I fit them in the car? Will 2 fit in the trunk and 2 on the back seats? They will be in boxes. Any ideas welcome! |

Shouldn't be a problem, last week we installed snow tires and wheels on a customers 330i(E46) and fit his factory 18's (with tires) in the trunk and backseat (in tires bags of course) and the boxes the 17's BMW reps came in as well. It was an E46, but not too much different in trunk and back seat size, if any.

Just did this! Put two in the trunk, and towels over the back seats the other two will sit in the back seats. Make sure if the wheels are staggered to put the bigger ones in the trunk to save your seats!

i put all 4 in the back seat with a nylon backseat cover (those made to cover your seat if you own dogs)
didn't leave any "dents" on the seats from the weight of the wheels, so it was all good. Probably have to scoot your fronts seats forward a tad depending on how tall you are to begin with |

Lots of ways you can do this. In addition to what's posted above, you can do one in the trunk, two in the backseat, and one on the passenger seat.

coincidentally, i was trying to bring my 4 wheels from home to my dad's work. I was not able to fit two in the trunk, in the boxes anyway. had they not been in the boxes they might have fit.

Don't any of you guys have the folding rear seats? If you did, just fold them down and you essentially have the entire backseat + trunk to set things on at the same level as the trunk floor - and no having to put things on your actual seat leather
