upgrading CPO warranty to platinum?
Can I upgrade my CPO warranty to platinum level and pay the difference? The warranty has not kicked in yet (I am on the original 4yr/50k warranty). If anybody has experience with this please also let us know how much you paid.
Thanks, |

What is the platinum warranty -- the one that includes maintenance? I was told by the dealer when I bought mine I could add the maintenance part at any time, only issue the price will likely increase.

yes i have idrive, and i am pretty sure it will go belly up around 50,001 miles!
platinum is not maintenance, it is a most comprehensive coverage bmw offers after original warranty. it covers accessories like navigation and audio in addition to CPO warranty. |

The only way to truly answer this question is to have the finance mgr. read your key, and give you the printout. I want to say, why not, whenever you want to buy something, why would they not want to sell it to you? The key will show the vehicle is already CPO, so it should also show what is available and for how much MSRP. Remember, that MSRP is discountable. Never pay full retail, even though the finance mgr. will balk.
