Crap - my 328 was produced around those dates - need to go to garage and see about chasis numbers.
OK, noob question - where is my chasis number located, on the driver's door sill ?

Would this fix the high pitched buzzing noise I hear after I stop the car and get out? It buzzes for about 1-2 mins after the car has been locked... It sounds like an electrical buzz.

I wouldn't worry, as the bulletin says, perform the corrective measure the next time the vehicle is in for service. That could be a year on the avg! On my Nissan, there was a recall of the alternator stating that it could catch fire. My car was already 4 yrs. old. I waited another year to perform the TSB, and voila! 5 yrs. of wear and tear on the alternator gone...thank you Nissan!

yeah -- it seems strange that we can't buy a BMW service manual for our cars at a reasonable price. The Bentley/Haynes etc manuals won't be around until a year or so after production stops probably.
