Exclamation E90 M3 sedan spypics

The powerful M-version of BMW’s 3-series is scheduled for launch next year only. The 3-series M will be available as coupe, convertible and four door. For the first time power will come from a V8 power plant, derived from the M5 and M6. It is a 4.0 litre engine delivering 415 HP, transmission is a seven speed SMG gearbox. A traditional six-speed manual transmission will be offered as an option.

The photos are showing a prototype of the sedan in current cold weather testing. It has still some disguise at front and rear end, the rear skirt in particular hiding the four exhaust pipes.

Hmm that's very interesting, it's a saloon, yet the front looks like the Coupe

I bet the new coupe front is going to be implemented as a new face lift on the e90 after a while.

Since when is that a classic design element?

It started with the E46.

They did everything to disguise it from being an M3 (covered front, hidden exhaust, normal body except wider rear stance...)

Why would they add the vents (which have no function) to this test mule???

The headlights seem to have the same shape as in the current E90 sedan. Only the kidneys are little different from those we know.
The car on the pics is a mule so we shouldn't expect that the M3 sedan will look the same.

The M3 is already a legend but I'd rather see the pics of the new Alpina B3.

My guess its just a test-bed mule. Were there any info of an e90 M3 sedan?(to play with the RS4 and yet t be released C63). If that is the case how does the much talked-about and anticipated 335i come into the picture....

I wonder if all the sedans after MY07 (or whatever) will have this new grill like the coupe and now the M3. I definately like it better.
