With all of the probems of the current 335i.....will it be better just to buy a new 2011.....is the new setup also having fuel pump problems?

The dealer says most of the hpfp problems were in the first two years of 335i production. Frankly I think he is FOS but that's an opinion and not based on cold hard facts, which are not available right now.

if you are willing to buy a car used, then buying used would be a better option, since you can get e90s with less than 10k miles for about 10k less than MSRP

No guarantee either car won't break down on you. Go with what you're more comfortable with, but used will save you a lot of money

I read that most of the major issues were a direct result of the HPFP. The new cars are programmed to prime the fuel system now and are using a new HPFP. Honestly, no one knows how the new cars will fair. Only time will tell.

well 2011 isn't a N54... so...

Guess again!

Check the turbo section. Someone is having problems after 500 miles.

2011 model, buy used...there's not going to be any substantive difference besides the lower price of a used one
