Problems importing music from USB in my F10

I have plugged in a USB thumb drive into the glove compartment.
As indicated in the manual I go to CD/Multimedia-music collection- then options- then import/export.

I can go into music collection but I have no "option menu" after that.

Do my mp3 files on my usb thumb drive need to be removed from all folders and be in the root directory? Right now they are in individual artist files.

Here are my screen options after going into cd/multimedia. As you can see there is no import/export option nor an "option menu" option.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

There is no 'option' in the menu.
When you are in the screen that you have put up, you need to press the 'option' button near the idrive. That will bring up the imprt/export menu.
Hope it works for you.

The + sign at the far right lets you know there is more, slide the iDrive knob to the right.

Ahhh I see! Didn't even know there is an option button near idrive

It's not a matter of sliding the screen over again though as that just brings up the split screen menu.

Thanks for the help!

I'm having issues with the USB import as well. My car had to have a complete new USB module installed a week after I collected it. That worked for a while but recently it seems to have stopped working again.

Just before I get the car booked in yet again.. to have this looked at. Does anyone have any input why, when i plug a usb drive into the glove box, navigate to import music, the "ok" is showing. Click ok.. then nothing happens.

Sorry, I've answered my own question.. I forgot that the usb stick was mac/os extended formatted.. changed to FAT32 and all works fine again. DOH...
