Power Source for Accesories

Has anyone used the (+) terminal in the engine compartment for a power source for accessories (as opposed to the fuse block)? If so, what is the best approach?

I put a multimeter on it and didn't get any voltage from it. In this thread for ideas too!! haha

What are you hooking up?

Planning to hook up the remote front plate system. I thought running a power line to the (+) terminal would be the easiest way to get power.

haha! Altec 400EU??? I'm trying to hook up the same thing. I've got it installed, but it's not powered yet.

Yeah, same here. I'm trying to find something to tap into to avoid running wires back to the battery itself...if you find something let me know! haha
