air intake system

hello!! few months ago i changed the filter of my car and i remove the down piece of the box( where the filter was) and after a month my engine got full of water....so i decided to change the original air intake system with other one....does anybody have any idea what is the best to do?? btw my car is 116i

do you have any photos of what you remove in the airbox? and when you said the engine got full of water you mean it hydrolocked or the engine bay was full of water?

bmw mechanics said that the engine got full of water i dont know exactly ...

hopefully the mechanic removed that water and yeah put back the stock airbox and see if the water still gets in or not.

my car its ok now...i would like to found out what is the best i have to by to fix in my car and no problem occur after...
