E90 servicing - What are the schedules?

As per title, can anyone please tell me? I'm not too up on the new BMW servicing. The car I'm looking at is an 05 E90 if that makes any difference. I believe it's on Condition Based Servicing?

The car should tell you and you can check from idrive or the control stalk. Everything has wear indicators but there is still mileage based servicing and inspections.

However, i'm not sure what each trip to the garage entails.

As it turns out, i checked today and apparently an oil change is due in about 4k, an inspection is due in about 6k and rear brakes in 7k!

wow!

Wish i knew what each entailed. Wonder if there is something online about how it pans out / what each service / inspection entails / avg. cost.

Looks like the next one will be a biggie for me.

So could it in theory go a number of years before needing servicing, or is it also time limited?

For example, my old Z4 was every 2 years or as indicated. Never more than 2 years. Anyone know?

oil is every 2 years max, or less on mileage which is variable depending on driving style.

brake fluid is fixed every 2 years.

the problem with variable servicing is different things come up at different times, so to save time and labour costs you end up having some things done early to coincide with the first item.

Thought that must be the case. On average, how often would you expect a service to be carried out, mileage-wise? I'm guessing if it had a service at 15k and another at 30k, that would be about right mileage-wise? It's due again in 6k and it's on 40k, so that would tally?

I'm just trying to get it clear in my head before I bother seeing any cars.

Depends on your driving style, type of journey that you usually take.
Mine had about 15 services over four years and 96k miles.

most variable services by any car make are v similar these days as they're all on long life oil.

so circa 15k is a good guess.

That was my thought. Still technically not full service history though as it went 2.5 years without a service. Bummer.
