325i lease is done, would you get 05 M3 or 07 335i?

Im about to turn in my 03 325i, and debating between a used M3 (04 or 05 model) or the 07 twin turbo 335i. Which would you get? Ill be doing a tune and an exhaust, would prefer the quicker straight line accel of the 2. Which would that probably be?

If you plan to do mods it sounds like the 335i with the Shiv Vishnu Xede would be your faster accerating vehicle. Not sure what it costs to get a used 2005 M3, but it would be used. A new 335i avg price is 46K. I'd probably go with the 335i (of course I own one and have never driven an M3).

I would go with the 335i for sure. I drive an M3, and I am very likely getting an E93 335i as my next car.

I had to choose between a 2006 M3 and a 2007 335i. Went with the 335 because in another year the e46 will start showing its age. Figured I would drive a 335 till the new M3 comes out.

I traded in my 04 M3 in for the 335i because the warrenty was running out on the M. Both are great cars. I am very happy with the 335, no regrets, it feels just as fast as the M and it is alot more comfortable of a ride. As a daily driver, I prefer the 335i.

You'll be better off with a 335.

New warranty, new car, and you dont have to foot the insurance and gas bill of an S54 powered car.

Plus the styling will be a departure (however for the e92 I dunno whether its good or bad but i know for one thing its pretty feminine) from your current car.

Speaking of foot, if you keep your foot in the 335, it doesn't get such great mileage either. I'm averaging about 12mpg in city driving.

Get a 335 and you can't "mod" leases.

I wouldn't do anything to the car that might void the warranty because if you do you may be liable for anything that goes wrong with the car...

Wait for new M3...if not, the 335i spanks the E46 M3 in all rolling acceleration tests and has matched the claimed 0-60 time of the ZCP M3. Good Luck!

I think the sedan is better looking and easier to live with (seats 5). IMHO.

Stock vs. stock its a drivers race in a straight line. Take it to a track the M3 decimates the 335i, get an XEDE and the 335i spanks the M3 in a drag.

If you want a DD, go 335i and definitely get the XEDE, but if you are/want to become a track junkie, the M3 would be a better choice.
