need help with ski/snowboard rack asap. Anyone here have this setup?

I'm going to order my snowboard setup (for my 2006 330i) from bmw very soon. I want to carry 4, Can I install 2 snowboard carriers on the base?.. the bmw site says that the ski and snowboard carrier setup can carry 2 snowboards and 2 pair of skiis. If I DO NOT install the SKI carrier, Can I install another snowboard carrier side by side to hold a total of 4 SNboards? thanks alot.
