Anything is easier to keep clean than black..my last 3 cars were black. On the other hand, nothing looks better than a shiny, clean black car. I'm going with Space Gray because it's not too dark, not too light. Lots of TiAg on the road, nice color. Space Gray is also model specific to the E92.

yeah, I think many feel that way, space grey seems popular. as hard as a coupe is to find space grey is even harder if not impossible to locate.

Should be decent. I saw one the other day, on the road (finally), and it looked sweet!

They are actually using Space Gray on the new X5.........it looks phenomenal! I saw one at the BMW North Scottsdale and the color suits the X5's lines very well.....that may be my next new car purchase....

I have space gray and it always looks good. I dont have any experience with rocks/chips, but i have some very minor scratches that I notice, but its not at all obvious. I'm very happy with my selection.

My car hasn't been washed in two weeks and is filthy, but aside from dark grey dust all over the wheels, it looks completely spotless. You are right that Silver is better though. My TT hasn't been washed in about 5 months, and it also looks completely spotless. Heh..

I'm very happy with space gray. With the amounts of rain, snow and other crap here in WA recently the car still looked pretty decent from a distance. Just in order to keep my mind at ease, I have washed it every now and then so far this winter, since the accumulation of dirt and salt is not really great for the paint of course.

I have 600 miles on mine and it hasn't seen rain or bad weather yet (and probably won't). It is very easy to keep clean (wheels are a different story) BUT I already picked up 2 rock chips which I have no idea where they came from. One on the bumper and the other on the frame of the drivers side door between the windshield and the drivers window..... I am not overall very impressed with the quality of the paint....but the color itself is easy to keep clean..... Here is a pic with 600 miles and no wash so far since redelivery w/ 70 miles......

I hesitate to even look at my car too closely at this point (mine's SG, but similar). Its going to happen eventually, but that first chip/scratch is the worst. I'm getting clear-bra this week, but it's almost as bad as dealing with a few chips when you consider how pristine a new car looks without either. I was nonplussed with BMW's paint job on my last car as well, but we live in a pretty hostile place for finishes in the winter. If I lived in a warmer climate, I'd have gotten black.

yeah those chips hurt, but worst is being keyed. I have a light silver car now and can't see any chips scratches or anything. I'm sure they're there but it's impressive how a light color hides it all. I remember when I had a black m5 man it just killed me.

I'll try to take some photos of my car from a few feet away and from up close to show how clean it looks versus how dirty it really is. Right now it has lots of road grime/salt from all of the snow we've had, plus a generous coating of black soot all over the rear. You'd be hard pressed to see it from more than 2-3 feet away, and you'd probably get very dirty if you were to brush against it.

I love the look of black cars when they're clean, but in Colorado it's a neverending battle against dust, grime, and so on. I haven't owned a silver car and probably never will, but they're probably the easiest. A few years ago I heard that the so-called "champagne" colors were best for dirt, dust, etc., but I find those to be awful looking, and something that only belongs on an old person's Buick!

Then I'm sure you won't like the new Platinum Bronze. The easy to keep clean, hides dirt factor was a selling point that a CA mentioned to me when describing the new colors. It is a nice color, but not for the E92.

I doubt it.... I inspected the car pretty well...... i had other problems from ED (that I am not going to go into) but paint chip was not one of them.... I am disapointed with paint quality on this car for sure..... I am a true nut and I have a car with no chips on the paint that is 12 years old and I also had a flawless 2001 Pontiac Trans Am WS6 with a brand new looking front end when I sold it with 15K miles last year..... 335 has 600 miles + 2 chips already.... The front end was masked until 400 miles (dealer is 300 miles away from me + 70 miles during ED) and after that it saw no freeway action! I would like to think the paint quality should be better on a BMW than GM & Volvo....but it doesn't appear to be so far.

I have a Space Gray 335i Coupe. Here in FL, we don't really have "dirt", so Space Gray stays pretty clean looking. Most of the time I just RO water rinse it between washes and the stuff comes right off. The dust shows a lot less than on black based on my experience.

I think space gray is the best color because it shows the shapes in the car's metal by catching the light in shades of light and dark. It does this even when dirty. I have no regrets in choosing it.

I have space grey and I cannot be any happier with my color.....It's awesome. Just the right shade of "dark" to be classy and just light enough to show the car's beautiful lines. I have two rock chips on the upper middle portion of my hood and I sometimes still forget they are there because the car's color hides them well. The best solution to protect - Zaino. Its the Bomb. I shall post pre-Zaino pics and post Zaino pics soon.
