Can someone confirm if e92 has no folding rear seats without winter package?

I just thought the winter package was the nozzles + ski sack + heated seats

The US spec e92 335i has split rear folding seats as standard. I don't know about non-US but I assume it's the same.

It's my opinion that BMW is intentionally vague about this to sell more winter packages. I didn't get the winter package, just heated seats, and I have the split fold down seats in my 335i e92. really, the winter package is a ripoff imo. the headlight washers are useless and the ski sack is pretty darn close to useless.

All 335 coupes come with fold-down rear seats

Yeah, I just get the heated seats, the rest is a waste.

The coupe comes with fold-down rear seats regardless of options. It's a coupe thing ...

Not so in the USA, it's clearly listed under the "Comforts & convenience" section of the 2007 Coupe brochure.

Folding seats has never been a standard option on sedans, but they're available with the "Cold weather package" option.

This is one of the benefits of getting the E92 over the E90 if you can live with a coupe. Split rear seats, xenon adaptive headlights, sport suspension are all standard on the E92 but are additional cost options on the E90. This is true only for the 328i. On the 335i E90, the xenons are standard equipment.

E92 coupes in the US come standard with fold down seats. So you end up paying the extra $250 for the headlight cleaners if you get the CWP (a waste IMO), but the washers only cost $25 if ordered with the CWP on the E90.

I think they are just a waste of money and windshiled washer fluid. Even in the winter when the front of my car can be completely covered in salt and dirt (when its snowing), my xenons had no problems providing more than enough light for me to see...

You can just ask for the heated seats by itself?

I also went for just the heated seats instead of the CWP. In researching this here and with the dealer, they did communicate that the folding rear seats are standard in the coupe.

Yes, the e92 coupes have it standard.

Being in Texas, I see no need for heated seats. My friends think otherwise, but what's 1 month out of the year good for?

I agree... I almost fell for it before specifically asking my CA about it. It wouldn't have been the end of the world, as the other stuff in the CW package is marginally usefull in my cliamte (though the headlight deicers would be pure novelty unless I start skiing more), but it wasn't clear IMHO from any of the lit (other than the manual d/l from here).

just heated seats for me too. CWP is a waste of money for me. now if it included a heated steering wheel, I probably woulda got CWP.

Why is it a benefit? The coupe cost more because of those options are included. Adding the options to the e90 would bring the cost closer to the e92 price. Besides the sports suspension being standard which alone is not an individual option there is really no benefit of one over the other. Most people get the sports package anyways.

They are also available ad-hoc on the sedan as well. However, if you want heated seats too, then you are up to almost the price of the ZCP. So ZCP basically gets you the headlight washers for free (Some would debate whether this is a good thing or not.).

I guess that's why they are called options.

Options allow people to customize the car for their personal needs. I find the winter package to be a great value to me. The price of the package was less than a good ski rack system. The ski sleeve allows me to throw 2 or 3 pair of skis into the car with no worries of dirt, theft or freezing bindings. Living where it always rains, the headlamp washers are actually very useful. The next time you follow a semi-truck for 50 miles during a snow or rain storm, pull straight up to a wall or a plate of glass and look at your headlight intensity and reflections. Now pressure wash them and see the difference for yourself. As for heated seats, everyone who has them, loves them.

I have the coupe without cold package, and I have the headlight washers. I didn't expect to get them, but they're there because (1) I've seen them in action and (2) it's stated in the configuration printed and pasted on the window upon delivery. I don't know if it's there because of premium package though...

Update: I stared at the configuration-in-the-window paper and decided that, since there is an "included" word next to "retractable headlight washers", they came standard...

^^^ Xi's come standard with headlight washers.

To the OP's question, only coupes come standard with rear folding seats.
