European Wide Angle Mirrors

Has anyone found a place to buy the Euro-spec wide angle mirrors for their USA E90? I have the driver's side style on my Volvo and love it. It's the mirror with the faint vertical line indicating a radius change.

Can the US dealers order them or can a European forum member provide some ideas for mail sellers.

Here's an old link to some info on the same type of mirrors for the E46

I read the earlier thread before I posted. Actually several times over some months.

The earlier post does not offer any info on where to get the mirrors except find a pal in Europe. That may become my best option and if there's a willing helper, PM me.

I am seeing if there's any new update. As far as I can tell RealOEM just gives parts # but does not sell the parts.

These mirrors are really nice and you get spoiled once you have them.

Id like to get them as well. I hate the small mirrors on the e90 as compared to my E46 ones.

Try punching those part numbers into http://parts.crownauto.com/. JD (the parts man) is your pal that can get them from Europe.

When you get them, make sure to let us know how it goes and make a DIY if you can! (You've sparked my interest in them too now.) Happy New Year!

Your lucky cause in Dubai we get the basic standard mirrors (flat) on both mirriors. I was not happy with them at all. I think the basic mirrors compromise safety. Audi's on the otehr hand come with the euro-spec'd mirrors as a standard.

Anyway, I placed the order for my e90 Euro-spec'd mirrors with the dealer himself. I got them at 30% discount but took 4 weeks to receive them. The dealer was nice and replaced them at no cost :-). All I can say it makes a big difference. No blind spots for me any more!

Go to http://parts.crownauto.com and try part number 51167144303

It's $177.19 plus shipping.

Call JD and make sure you tell him what you want (Euro version wide-angle) in case they substitute.

i wouldn't mind having the euro mirrors, but i also found that adjusting the mirrors you have right now helps a great deal. after adjusting them, they seemed a bit odd at first, but after that stage, i realized i can see a lot better now.

+1 I would not mind the euro mirrors, but "properly" adjusting the mirrors makes a huge difference. I'd be curious to see how much the dealer would charge to put them in. A glass shop may be cheaper.

Got the driver's side mirror from JD/crown and had the dealer install it today. They had a special plastic tool to pop out the old mirror. They did job for free at my redelivery from ED. It took 10 minutes.

Part appears correct and with identical connectors as flat mirror. So far, it's great-- completely ending blind spots. If this type of mirror is empty, there's no car there. Only down side is price at $175 vs $60 for the equivalent part I got for my Volvo. Once you get these mirrors you want them on future cars. No need for passsenger side since US convex does the job nearly as well and save some $.

Yup, I dont see my car in my mirrors either when sitting up.

But, coming from a E46 that had HUGE mirrors and using the same set up procedure, Im still seeing less than I want.
