Saying hello
I have been browsing this site for awhile. Just figured I'd register and say hello. The E90/92 has really started to grow on me... especially with the performance of the 335

Welcome
If I may, let me tell you that the (really good) performance of the 335i will disappoint you, coming from an M3. If I were you, I'd be somewhat patient and get the new M3 But that's just my $0.02.. Guillaume |

My $0.02 since I have quite a bit of time behind the wheel of both cars. The performance is about equal to the m3 acceleration wise but with a more 'even' power delivery with more consistent torque available at various rpm's. The engine also doesn't have the noisy/rough behavior of the e46 m3 engine at high RPM's. 335i has better brakes too. The ride is not as rough as the m3...there's some definite pluses over the m3..BUT...no LSD and a softer ride on the e92 give the m3 an advantage on the track. This subject has been covered in quite a bit of detail; do a search and you'll find lots of battles...uh i mean opinions on this . I think coming from an e46 m3 as many here have, you will be very happy with the car, so long as you aren't a track junky. |

yeah......I have to agree with the lack of LSD here. I never thought it would really be noticeable during daily driving (w/ moments of sheer acceleration), but it actually is. I can't wait to track it and see what the diff is with and without DSC/DTC. My buddy has an M3 and I used to drive it quite a bit - it's definitely more "raw" than the 335i in terms of feel, but it really is silky smooth all around.
