Auto-Dimming Mirrors

I have premium package but I don't think my auto-dimming mirrors work how can I test them to know they work because when a suv is directly behind me I get blinded so someone please help.

Shine a flashlight directly on the sensor and see if it dims If not, take it in.

Or back up at night to a wall or garage door, I find that when I'm looking at my rear-view, and apply the brakes, the red light reflecting off the wall behind me is enough to darken the mirror temporarily until I release the pedal.

On the topic of auto-dimming mirrors. I noticed that if a car with highbeams, or poorly aimed lights comes up behind me and stops too close at an intersection for example, the mirrors will revert to their lighest setting because the beams are no longer reaching my rearview where the sensor is, but still scorching my eyeballs out from my sideviews. Grr...

Simple, Press your button to activate Electric Rear Sunshade.

Mirror will dim, but will not completely eliminate the ligths of the dimwit behind you.

I always have the sunshade up but it's the side mirrors that almost blind me. I'll try some of the tips giving to me right now.

Ah O.K., it's clearer now ... my side mirrors do the same.

I just looked in my options list and on the "Premium Package" we are supposed to have Auto-Dimmimg exterior mirrors!

I have to tell you, I have not seen those dim anything yet when I gest those dimwits with SUVs , mis-alligned lights, High Beams or those lovely Silverstar super dumb bright lights they sale at the "rice-a-rony" auto parts stores behind me.

Let me know if you on anyone else finds something on this.
