why 328i in US & 330i in europe?

nope, 258 Hp.

however i was talking about e92 330i which has 272 hp

DI is direct injection (high pressure piezo injectors). North America did not have uniformly available petrol of sufficient quality for the N53 engines, so we get the N52 (& N54, which for some reason seems OK on our gas even though it has DI).

Yes we have a 328xi, in E90, E91, & E92 variants.

In North America, BMW no longer offers the 325 or 330; it was only offered for Model Year 2006.
