SoCal Rim Repair

I was exiting the freeway a couple of days ago and my Tire Pressure Monitor warning popped up on the iDrive, warning me my Tire was critically low (Red Warning). I though I had a nail in my tire so I slowly made my way to the closest gas station for assitance.

Long story short my main concern was to prep for an important business conference which was in a couple of hours, and here I was stuck at a Mechanic shop with several cracks on my rim. I parked my car, and called a friend. Walked four blocks up to the Roosevelt Hotel in 100 plus degress to cure myself with alchohol.

Now for anyone thats been in this situation I truely feel your pain. Whats even better is now you have a rim/s that have severe damage to it.

To Repair or Not?

Used m6 rim= $400ish
New m6 rim= $700ish

I know Son Tran is the Master of Cosmetic Wheel Repairs (correct me if he repairs rims also, I dont have knowledge of him repairing cracked rims). But does anyone know a good Wheel Repair Shop in SoCal?

***Now on the side not, I didnt hit a pothole, or a bump. There isnt any sign of impact on the wheel. Can it be the wheel was defective?

son tran cannot restore ur wheel in its current condition. wheel may have been defective and u might as well buy a new m6 rep since the odds of it being perfect after restoration is not worth the hassle of it happening again.

Thats the bad thing about buying cheap reps, quality is questionable at best.

Thats the good thing about buying cheap reps, it wont cost an arm and a leg to replace. Imagine if you had to replace just a single 19" BBS LM, it'll probalby cost more then another set of m6 reps.

I'm talking about OEM m6 rims. Not reps. Picked the car up and warranty won't cover it. Called bmwna and they claim its up to the dealer to decide if they want to replace it or not.
