E92 328xi 0-60 MPH faster than on paper?
I have an automatic and on paper, 0-60 is 7.0 seconds. But if I put the car in manual mode and start off in 1st gear and shift at redline, the car def goes from 0-60 in less than 7 seconds; more like 6 seconds tops and probably a little less. Anyone else want to try doing this with a stopwatch and confirm this?

xi responsiveness?
Your post kind of implies this, but I've been wondering about the feel of the 328xi vs 328i. I'm awaiting an ED order in Jan. I was only able to test drive a 328i coupe in auto but ordered an xi. As a result I was a bit worried that I hadn't tried it and was wondering how different it felt from the 328i, both the handling as well as the automatic tranny which reportedly is different from both the 328i and the 335i.
BTW, I'm guessing you have a Monaco, I ordered the same. Thanks for any info

The 328i w/MT is supposed to be 6.2 sec--I am guessing the difference between it and the xi is due mainly to weight? Or maybe the way the two are geared? Just curious....

nearly all bmw's are faster 0-60 than the book says just like the top speed. its all in how you drive, i have seen a porgram in england do 0-60 in a 330i same as mine in 5.796 seconds ive done it in 5.823 acording to my 0-60 reader and have done over 155 mph top speed its just what companys do.

Probably a couple tenths faster than what BMW publishes, but I doubt its going to be as quick as what magazines were getting for the 2006 6 speed 330i that has more power.
