Almost every imagineable problem light ON

Went through the SKY wash place near my home here in metro Atlanta. Came out all cleaned and dried. Turn on car and I have all sorts of failure lights on. Permanent brake light on. Several kinds of DTC lights on. Electronics system failure diagram and a few other related ones. So tuesday going to the dealer to get it checked out.... The wash place that I go to has very expensive cars going through the same pulley system (car is in neutral and its pulled along a pully system). I really really hope just sensors were triggered. Seems like way to many kinds of failure lights on though for that which scares me. Lovely, only had the car for a month.

Didn't your sales person tell you that you're not supposed to expose the Bimmer to the water...EVER! You're screwed!

JK, probably stupid BMW electronics (computer)...

Sorry to hear that but why did or do you take your car thru a wash to begin with?

Probably just a horrible coincidence, but if it's the first time your car is being washed, perhaps there is a manufacturing defect a leak resulted in a short somewhere.

cool it, it was probably a short or something, getting electronics repaired is a lot different then getting something mechanical repaired

your not getting a new car, jeez

I just hope it was a simple sensor mixup from being pulled on the pulley in neutral. I dont want anything damaged. They'll need to reimburse me the bill even if I dont have to pay for it because of the warranty. What? stop washing the car after my warranty runs out so it doesnt happen again? you know what I mean. I followed the contract correctly so far (mention everything right away after taking back the car from the porter at sky)

how much money do you pay for an unlimited membership at a highend carwash? and take a picture of the dash, that sounds interesting looking.

The only lights that show up whent he car is running is brake light (yellow) and
DTC failure light. All the lights come up when u first turn on the car. It scrolls through them all. 6 in total I believe.

Well they have different memberships. About a $100 a month for me.

How can I put this to set expectations: your car will be fixed under warranty. You are not getting a new car.

Now you want to get reimbursed for something that may not cost you anything? Please. That is unmitigated chutzpah.

Sorry about your car but it is poor attitudes such as yours which give BMW drivers a bad name.

Actually, it is your stated intent to defraud the car wash that is really of concern.

Poor attitude? Your kidding me? You actually thought I thought I deserve a brand new car?? give me a break... If it was decided by the mechanics at one point it was a lemon I'd say I deserved a new car. If it was the car wash's fault I would want to be reimbursed. Heck I dont care give the money to the BMW mechanic. Tuesday Ill find out the true cause. If it was on the part of Sky Wash I'll move my business to AutoIndulgence nearby.

I hope it was a flook and not anything that needs repair. Still though if it was a sensor flook and they just have to reset like one of the guys at the BMW dealer mechanic said probably happened, that reset, if not under warranty would cost money, and hey now I dont want to be washing my car somewhere that would be causing me to have to reset the computer every so often.

I checked out their site and don't get Rosie O'donnell after me, but I wouldn't let those guys anywhere near my car. Who knows where their hands have been.

Sarcasm sir sarcasm sir. No matter how annoying it would be to have a repaired new bimmer one month after purchase I know I wont be getting a new car unless something crazy happened like a lemon.
